I sacrifici sono giunti al termine, Whopper è stato placato dai dirigenti Facebook che, resisi conto degli alti volumi di persone eliminate in questi ultimi giorni (si parla di 230.000 contatti in tutto) hanno immediatamente bloccato il programma sul proprio social network. Il motivo di questa scelta è stata anche la violazione, hanno detto così, della privacy degli utenti. Si, perchè ad ogni eliminazione le vittime ricevevano una mail di notifica dell’accaduto e sapevano subito chi le aveva “sacrificate” in nome di Whopper. Dopo poco tempo l’applicazione è tornata a circolare ma senza più mail di notifica. Niente più divertimento e, fra poco, niente più panini.
