Stando a quelle che sono le più recenti indiscrezioni, Facebook intende rendere disponibile per la sua app Messenger una nuova piattaforma chiamata Instant Games che dovrebbe permettere alle persone di giocare a titoli leggeri e divertenti contro gli amici direttamente tramite la celebre app per la messaggistica.

La redazione di TechCrunch ha infatti reso noto che il creatore di Candy Crush, King.com, sta già testando uno di questi giochi chiamato “Shuffle Cats Mini” in Nuova Zelanda. Oltre a King.com, altre software house starebbero lavorando duramente per preparare giochi per questa nuova piattaforma d’intrattenimento.

Per quanto riguarda il gioco Shuffle Cats Mini, da quel poco che è venuto a galla dovrebbe trattarsi di una sorta di tiro al bersaglio utilizzando delle carte che dovranno essere lanciate verso precisi target. Tuttavia il gioco ad oggi non può essere concluso e non è nemmeno possibile condividere i risultati con gli amici.

Il lancio di questa piattaforma potrebbe significare per Facebook un nuovo modo di attirare ulteriori utenti e, di conseguenza, di migliroare gli introiti pubblicitari. I giochi potrebbero inoltre includere alcune alcune opzioni a pagamento attivabili attraverso la formula degli acquisti in-app. In tal modo Facebook sarebbe dunque in grado di ottenere una nuova fonte di reddito. Per incentivare gli sviluppatori a realizzare questi mini giochi, Facebook dovrebbe rilasciare prossimamente anche un kit di sviluppo dedicato.

Allo stato attuale delle cose, Facebook non ha voluto commentare la notizia e dunque non è chiaro come funzionerà esattamente la piattaforma. Non resta quindi nient’altro da fare se non attendere fiduciosi la disponibilità di ulteriori informazioni.
