Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg illustra il futuro del social network

Nel corso degli ultimi giorni la redazione del sito Internet The Verge ha pubblicato una lunga intervista a Mark Zuckerberg, il CEO di Facebook, in cui vengono illustrate quelle che saranno le sorti del social network numero un al mondo.

Riassumendo quanto dichiarato, Mark Zuckerberg vede l’accesso ad Internet come la chiave per rendere Facebook ancora più forte. Internet è infatti in grado di creare posti di lavoro e di unire le persone. Può educare le comunità svantaggiate e anche consentire operazioni avanzate come la chirurgia a distanza in grado salvare vite umane. Le possibilità sono dunque molteplici.

Il più grande progetto di Facebook in questo ambito è la creazione di droni che possano portare internet dal cielo. Il piano è quello di utilizzarli in aree remote, con l’obiettivo di portare un altro miliardo di persone online, se non di più. Il piano può sembrare azzardato, ma una soluzione poco ortodossa come i droni connessi a internet rappresenta una necessità per sopperire alle mancanze degli operatori. Facebook vuole dimostrare che questa tecnologia funziona per poi offrirla agli interessati in modo da distribuire i costi di realizzazione del progetto e renderlo, così, fattibile su larga scala.

Facebook sta inoltre lavorando alla prossima generazione di cose che le persone potranno fare su internet, in particolare una volta che sarà disponibile il 5G.

È inoltre opportuno porre l’accento sull’intelligenza artificiale. Come già noto, Mark Zuckerberg intende realizzare una sorta di maggiordomo virtuale in grado di assistere le persone in una casa.
