Facebook Connect bug internet KO

Gli utenti che erano online nella notte compresa tra il 7 e l’8 febbraio (in Italia) sicuramente avranno avuto modo di notarlo: numerosi siti web come, ad esempio, la CNN, l’Huffington etc., erano down.

In molti inizialmente hanno pensato ad un attacco hacker di massa ben riuscito, altri, invece, hanno escluso tale ipotesi ed hanno cominciato ad interrogarsi circa le possibili cause del verificarsi della situazione in questione.

La colpa, tuttavia, è da dare solo e soltanto a Facebook, così come sostento sin da subito da numerosi esperti in fatto di IT che, nel dettaglio, hanno puntato il dito contro Facebook Connect.

Detta in termini ancor più spiccioli i siti web che avevano aggiunto il pulsante Mi piace sulle proprie pagine sono risultati momentaneamente inaccessibili a causa, appunto, di un bug di Facebook che generava errori andando, di conseguenza, anche a coinvolgere i portali precedentemente elencati e molti altri ancora.

Il blackout, però, ha interessato solo e soltanto tutti quegli utenti che avevano precedentemente effettuato l’accesso al social network.

L’unico modo per evitare il problema, quindi, era non essere loggati su Facebook, dato che il pulsante Mi piace del social network è praticamente presente ovunque online.

Facebook, in ogni caso, è intervenuto in maniera fulminea per porre rimedio al problema, così come comunicato dallo stesso team del social network.

Per un breve periodo un bug ha reindirizzato su pagine di errore le persone che avevano effettuato l’accesso a Facebook attraverso siti terzi. Il problema è stato risolto velocemente e adesso il login funziona perfettamente come sempre.

Panico generale dell’utenza e gravità della cosa a parte il verificarsi di una situazione di questo tipo fa comprendere molto chiaramente come il social network in blu di Mark Zuckerberg sia onnipresente online e nella vita delle persone e come possa condizionare l’utilizzo dell’intera rete bloccando tutta, o quasi, internet.
