Facebook e AOL: l’unione fa pubblicità

La stampa americana ha pubblicato negli ultimi giorni dei rumors riguardanti una sorta di nuova fusione che vedrebbe sposarsi insieme il social network Facebook con AOL. Secondo quanto scritto, le due major starebbero per fare un accordo sulla gestione della pubblicità on line sul social network in blue e soprattutto su un nuovo modello di business pubblicitario improntato sul web 2.0.

Il loro obiettivo comune che li ha portati ad unirsi, sarebbe l’idea di schiacciare un colosso come Google, prima che quest’ultimo prenda il sopravvento e non ci sia più spazio sul web per la gestione degli introiti pubblicitari.
Le manovre sono quindi tutte basate sull’advertising on line che ad oggi, come dicevamo sembra essere controllato completamente da Google. Mark Zuckerberg aveva già avuto in passato delle proposte (pure abbastanza interessanti) dallo stesso Google, ma non ha risposto alle sue lusinghe per la pubblicità del suo social network Facebook, cercando di spostarsi verso una nuova allenza (probabilmente più controllabile dallo stesso Zuckerberg) che si chiama America On Line (AOL).

L’accorso si starebbe stilando tra lo stesso Mark e Tim Armstrong, il Ceo di AOL e sarebbe un nuovo tentativo di attori della grande rete di sfidare il colosso gigantesco di Google, anche se l’esperienza di quest’ultimo sembrerebbe non aver alcun concorrente in ambito informatico. Fatto sta che comunque ad oggi rimane il tutto un rumors, anche perchè secondo la stampa americana, quando c’è in ballo un accordo serio come questo, esiste una certa tutela anche da parte dei giornalisti stessi di far concludere questi accordi di una certa importanza in tutta serietà e soprattutto con la riservatezza delle parti onde evitare speculazioni.

Il rifiuto all’epoca di Mark Zuckerberg di affiancarsi a Google, è stato per la pressante richiesta da parte del colosso del search engine di voler creare il suo social network e soprattutto di fortificare Buzz.
