Fermi tutti, state tranquilli, nessun annuncio ufficiale, ma solamente una previsione, che comunque potrebbe avverarsi quanto prima. Secondo l’analista Jesse Divnich di EEDAR Zynga è diventata una società “da tenere d’occhio”, merito del suo valore di mercato, pari a circa 1,7 miliardi di dollari con 300 milioni di utenti attivi su base mensile.

Zynga ha sempre dichiarato di voler restare indipendente ma le cose potrebbero cambiare, visto che i conti dell’azienda non quadrano, le perdite sono notevoli e gli investimenti per restare competitivi sul mercato sempre maggiori. Gli ultimi giochi Zynga non hanno riscosso il successo sperato, a parte rare eccezioni (come CastleVille) ed anche FarmVille 2 ha ricevuto una accoglienza piuttosto tiepida, a dire il vero, con milioni di utenti che continuano a giocare alla prima versione, ignorando, di fatto, il sequel.

Questa situazione ha causato grandi perdite nelle casse di Zynga, colpa anche dell’acquisizione di OMGPOP a inizio anno. La società ha sviluppato Draw Something, titolo che ha ottenuto un successo strepitoso a inizio anno per poi crollare nel dimenticatorio nel giro di poche settimane. Zynga continuerà a sviluppare giochi social e mobile, destinando le proprie risorse ai titoli più popolari ed ai giochi di poker e casinò, inoltre Pincus e soci investiranno sulla piattaforma proprietaria Zynga.com, lanciata alla fine dello scorso anno.

Secondo Divnich addirittura Zynga sarebbe nel mirino di Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg potrebbe acquistare la compagnia, da sempre legata a doppio filo con il social network numero uno al mondo. In passato le due parti hanno avuto diversi screzi, dovuti principalmente a questioni economiche, in questo momento però Zynga non è nella condizione adatta per dettare legge e Facebook ha dalla sua un discreto budget da spendere in acquisizioni.

La favola di Zynga potrebbe quindi terminare a lieto fine, con l’acquisizione da parte del gigante buono. Chiaramente, come detto, si tratta solamente di ipotesi ed analisi, ma nulla di concreto al momento.
