Facebook vuole comprare Nokia? Non è da escludere ed anzi, secondo gli analisti ed i broker di Wall Street, questo succederà molto, molto presto. Sappiamo che, dopo il debutto in borsa (seppur non eccelso) Mark Zuckerberg ha molto denaro da spendere. La società inoltre sta cercando partner per lanciare un Facebookphone nel 2013.

Da tempo si parla dell’interesse di Facebook per RIM, la società canadese produttrice del BlackBerry naviga in cattive acque ed acquistarla costerebbe “solo” sei miliardi di dollari, mentre per Nokia ne servirebbero ben 15.

Sembra che Facebook abbia fatto una offerta pari a dieci miliardi di dollari, senza però ricevere ancora una risposta concreta da parte del colosso finlandese. Una mossa come questa potrebbe sconvolgere gli equilibri del mondo della telefonia mobile, e non solo.

Nokia infatti sta pagando, e non poco, l’accordo con Microsoft, che impone alla società di utilizzare solamente Windows Phone (o il sistema operativo proprietario Symbian) sui proprio telefoni, evitando, ovviamente, Android. I terminali Windows Phone di Nokia però non stanno riscuotendo il successo sperato, con la serie Lumia che fatica ad imporsi tra i consumatori.

Facebook potrebbe acquistare Nokia anche in virtù dello stretto rapporto con Microsoft (che possiede una quota della società), in questo modo Zuck e soci avrebbero tutto il know-how e le tecnologie necessarie per creare uno smartphone social. Non è un mistero che Mark voglia puntare maggiormente sul settore mobile, da molti visto come il futuro dei social network. In questo segmento purtroppo Facebook fatica non poco, visto che non riesce a monetizzare con la sua applicazione per smartphone e cellulari.

Anche Symbian, OS “abbandonato” dalla stessa Nokia potrebbe tornare a nuova vita come piattaforma entry level, comunque più che valida per garantire una ottima social experience su Facebook. Vedremo nei prossimi giorni se questa voce di corridoio si rivelerà vera o se, semplicemente, si tratta di speculazioni prive di veridicità.
