Facebook introduce i commenti in tempo reale

Facebook migliora il sistema di commenti con la funzione real time che permette di visualizzare i commenti degli amici in tempo reale, senza aggiornare di continuo la pagina. Questo nuovo miglioramento dell’infrastruttura di Facebook sembra integrarsi molto bene con le notifiche in tempo reale introdotte l’anno scorso.

Se in passato poteva succedere di ricevere una notifica ma di non riuscire ancora a visualizzare il commento, con il nuovo sistema questo non accadrà più. O almeno così speriamo.

Naturalmente, per sfruttare al massimo questo miglioramento, Facebook ha dovuto apportare dei cambiamenti alla piattaforma, che hanno causato temporanei disservizi al sistema. Post che scomparivano misteriosamente per riapparire solo qualche ora dopo, commenti che si accavallavano senza nessun filo logico sono solo un esempio di quanto si è visto nei giorni scorsi. Ma oggi tutto sembra essere tornato alla normalità.

L’implementazione dei commenti era stata resa necessaria a causa dell’enorme quantità di contenuti che venivano postati sul sito: circa 100 milioni di post per 650.000 commenti al minuto. Il passaggio al real time per il team di Facebook era quasi una tappa obbligata per continuare a essere competitivi e offrire un sempre miglior servizio all’utente.
