Facebook starebbe pensando di introdurre una nuova tecnologia che permetterà agli utenti di scoprire chi ha visitato nelle ultime ore il proprio profilo. Inutile dire che si tratta di una delle funzioni più ricercate (nonché inesistenti, quindi non cadete nelle solite trappole della rate) della Rete e l’azienda starebbe pensando seriamente di inserirla per una serie di motivi pratici. Primo di tutti, l’anti-stalking.

È noto. L’altro lato della medaglia di internet e in generale delle piattaforme sociali, è il fenomeno dello stalking che vige incontrollato a causa delle grandi possibilità offerte da queste tecnologie. Chiaro, ognuno è libero di postare su Facebook o su un qualsiasi social network quel che gli pare, anche considerazioni o immagini che ritiene fortemente intime, ma i predatori della Rete sono sempre in agguato e bisogna stare in allerta per evitare brutte sorprese e fenomeni di stalking virtuale.

Un argomento molto particolare che va trattato con la dovuta delicatezza, ma se Facebook decidesse davvero di inserire una funzione che permetterà all’utente di analizzare statistiche riguardanti il proprio profilo, il fenomeno potrebbe se non eliminarsi perlomeno ridursi il più possibile: la vittima avrebbe la chance di scoprire quali elementi e con che frequenza vengono visitati da una persona sospetta, e se la classica funzione “blocca” non dovesse bastare, almeno potrebbe contare su una prova tangibile delle visite anomale al proprio profilo e prendere i provvedimenti del caso.

Secondo le ultime indiscrezioni provenienti dalla rete, questa nuova possibilità sarà dapprima offerta in fase di test agli amministratori delle pagine Facebook, che avrebbero così l’occasione di consultare statistiche più approfondite ed efficaci sulle visite ricevute dal gruppo. Nel caso il test dovesse restituire effetti positivi, sia in termini tecnici che di apprezzamento da parte degli amministratori, allora la cosa potrebbe presto espandersi all’utenza tutta, regalando ai fan Facebook quella funzione che da tempo aspettavano.
