Facebook ha acquisito MSQRD

Nel corso delle ultime ore Facebook ha messo a segno un’importante ed interessante acquisizione: quella dell’ormai nota applicazione MSQRD sviluppata dalla software house biellorussa Masquerade.

Per chi stranamente non ne fosse ancora a conoscenza ricordiamo che MSQRD è un’app per iOS ed Android che sta avendo un grandissimo successo tra gli utenti. L’applicazione è gratuita e va a configurarsi come una particolare risorsa mediante cui scattare i selfie che permette di sostituire il volto degli utenti con alcune facce prevaricate decisamente buffe. Il risultato è una foto estremamente divertente che può essere utilizzata per farsi due risate con gli amici, magari condividendola sui servizi di social networking.

Appare dunque ben evidente il fatto che Facebook abbia voluto mettere a segno l’acquisizione in oggetto al fine di implementare la tecnologia che sta dietro MSQRD per integrarla all’interno della sua piattaforma sociale anche se allo stato attuale delle cose non vi sono certezze a riguardo. L’acquisizione dell’app MSQRD potrebbe sembrare, in qualche modo, anche una risposta a Snapchat che acquistando Looksery ha potuto offrire ai suoi utenti diversi nuovi filtri per i loro selfie.

Al momento non sono ancora stati diramati i dettagli economici dell’operazione. Quel che però è certo è che gli appassionati utilizzatori di MSQRD non dovranno temere assolutamente nulla. Infatti, l’applicazione continuerà ad essere sviluppata ragion per cui continuerà ad essere disponibile sia su App Store sia su Google Play Store.

Al momento non risultano disponibili ulteriori informazioni ma di certo sarà possibile saperne di più nel corso di prossimi giorni.
