Facebook ha acquisito Glancee

Dopo aver portato a segno l’importante ed improvvisa acquisizione di Instagram, l’app dedicata al photo-sharing che, oramai, non ha più bisogno di presentazioni, Facebook, nel corso delle ultime ore, ha effettuato un’ulteriore ed interessante acquisto: quello di Glancee.

Così come nella maggiore parte dei casi l’acquisizione di Glancee contribuirà ad implementare nuove funzionalità e servizi all’intero della ben nota risorsa di social networking in blu risultando, tra le altre cose, un ulteriore punto a favore per la sempre più imminente quotazione in borsa.

Glancee nel dettaglio, va a configurarsi come una piccola applicazione mobile per device iOS ed Android che basa il suo essere social sulla geolocalizzazione permettendo quindi di scoprire se attorno a sé sono presenti utenti con cui si hanno amici o eventuali interessi in comune.

Con questa acquisizione, inoltre, Mark Zuckerberg porta diversi nomi italiani direttamente all’interno della sua azienda considerando che due dei suoi tre fondatori, Andrea Vaccari, co-fondatore e CEO Glancee, e  Alberto Tretti, co-fondatore e COO, sono originari, appunto, del Bel paese.

L’intero progetto, ovviamente, non ha le sue radici in Italia bensì a San Francisco ma quello in questione appare comunque come un dato di non poca importanza per la penisola e per i suoi abitanti.

Per quanto concerne invece il prezzo dell’operazione di acquisizione non è stato ancora reso noto alcun dettaglio.

Tenendo conto del fatto che, allo stato attuale delle cose, non è ancora chiaro come si evolverà la situazione per gli utenti di Glancee è consigliabile, così come suggerito dallo stesso team dell’app nell’homepage della stessa, di eseguire al più presto il download dei propri dati prima che l’acquisizione portata a segno da Mark Zuckerberg e soci vada a modificare il classico utilizzo dell’app.

Probabilmente Glancee, tenendo conto delle sue funzionalità, sarà integrata direttamente all’intero dell’app mobile di Facebook ma al momento è ancora troppo presto per poterlo dire.
