Facebook acquisizione Parse

Negli ultimi tempi quasi tutte le grandi aziende sembrano essere particolarmente impegnate nel cercare di mettere a segno un sempre maggior numero di acquisizioni mediante cui migliorare i servizi già offerti.

Facebook, ad esempio, ha fatto particolarmente discutere di sé per l’acquisizione, effettuata circa un anno fa, di Instagram per la modifica cifra pari ad 1 miliardo di dollari.

Dopo quella della celebre app grazie alla quale scattare, modificare e condividere foto il social network per eccellenza ha messo a segno ulteriori acquisizioni, alcune passate inosservate, altre, invece, degne di nota così come nel caso di Parse.

Si tratta di un’azienda specializzata nel cloud con cui Facebook aveva già avuto modo di collaborare tempo addietro ed ora divenuta proprietà di Mark Zuckerberg e della sua squadra.

L’annuncio è stato dato nel corso delle ultime ore durante la Mobile Developer Conference.

Stando alle indiscrezioni l’acquisizione sarebbe stata effettuata per una cifra compresa tra gli 80 e i 90 milioni di dollari mentre attenendosi a quanto riportato in un post ufficiale pubblicato sul Developers blog il fine ultimo della stessa sarebbe quello di cercare di aiutare il più possibile i developers a trovare un sistema mediante il quale sviluppare in maniera semplice e rapida applicazioni che possano essere estese tra dispositivi e piattaforme mobile di qualsiasi tipo.

Con l’acquisizione gli sviluppatori avranno a loro disposizione tutta una serie di strumenti basati sul cloud mediante i quali, ad esempio, gestire gli utenti e le notifiche ed eseguire svariate altre operazioni.

Prodotti di questo tipo possono rivelarsi estremamente importanti per la community e per gli sviluppatori.

Finalità dell’acquisizione a parte Facebook ha inoltre sottolineato che i servizi di Parse continueranno ad essere offerti senza nessun tipo di problema ragion per cui gli utenti che se ne servono non hanno alcun motivo di temere eventuali sconvolgimenti.
