Tutti noi pensavamo che il mondo dei social network si fermasse a Facebook, a Twitter, a LinkedIn oppure a MySpace, ma non avevamo considerato anche le realtà alternative delle reti sociali. Quella che andiamo ad esaminare oggi è quella dedicata ai lavoratori del Nasdaq. Ebbene si, anch’essi hanno una propria community dedicata e si basa soprattutto sulla necessità di facilitare i rapporti tra tutti gli esperti di finanza e gli appassionati di finanza.

Il social network è una parte del sito www.nasdaq.com, che altro non è che uno dei portali più famosi al mondo che parla di borsa e soprattutto che vanta oltre 2,4 milioni di visitatori mensili. Esaminiamo come è strutturato questo social network.

Come tutte le reti sociali, permette la creazione di un proprio profilo utente, con i propri dati ed interessi, e di conseguenza, permette agli utenti stessi di collegarsi a reti di amici e consulenti. Da qui è possibile consultare lo storico dei propri amici e vedere anche come questi ultimi si muovono sul mercato. Gli acquisti che fanno, le loro vendite e così, tirar fuori anche una sorta di resoconto guadagni.

Inoltre nella home del profilo, c’è sempre la possibilità di essere aggiornati sulle ultime notizie finanziarie, oltre che sugli eventi che vengono organizzati dalla community.
Di conseguenza, prima di tutto viene la possibilità di confrontarsi con gli altri membri della community per attuare le proprie strategie di investimento e comprendere il trend di mercato.
