Diaspora: prima beta pubblica

Ve ne abbiamo parlato tante volte, quasi fino alla noia, ma sembra che l’odissea nascosta dietro al social network open source che prende il nome di Diaspora, non sia destinata ancora a finire, o meglio: sembra essere proprio all’inizio.
Girovagando per il web e soprattutto per i social network, abbiamo trovato infatti da qualche giorno on line, la prima versione beta pubblica del tanto chiacchierato social network Diaspora. Proprio come dicevamo in testa a questo post, circa un anno fa e più avevamo parlato delle radici di questo nuovo progetto, che vuole essere una sorta di riproposizione di un grande Facebook con i contenuti open source.

L’obiettivo principale di questo social network (a differenza di Facebook), sarebbe quindi non quello di fare soldi, ma semplicemente quello di poter attuare le condivisioni comuni tra utenti e curare le proprie amicizie virtuali, ma tenendo in primo piano qualcosa di inviolabile: la privacy dell’utente.

Diaspora ad oggi sembra già essere vivo da un po’, ma andiamo a capire come e soprattutto il perché. Gli utenti che si vedono “in giro” su Diaspora, infatti, sono alcuni dei primi utenti invitati nella fase alpha del progetto, quel momento di start up che viene lanciato spesso su una nuova piattaforma, per far si che si migliori giorno dopo giorno, diventando sempre più ricca e soprattutto più competitiva rispetto alla concorrenza.

 

Seppure parecchi di questi utenti, sentitisi stanchi dopo una serie di tira e molla e di dubbi su questo progetto, si sono tirati fuori, e quindi ad  oggi non risultano essere degli utenti attivi del social network, il sito di Diaspora, contiene ancora un bel po’ di materiale “umano” per poter cominciare ad utilizzarlo. Molte caratteristiche che abbiamo notato su questo social network sono palesemente riprodotte da Facebook e Google+, oltre che qualcosa di Twitter. Gli utenti, infatti già parlano di plagio palese del progetto di Google Plus.
