Corretta falla in Facebook

Dopo 15 giorni dalle segnalazioni di vari utenti, e soprattutto a partire dalle segnalazioni di vari blog, Facebook si è impegnato per risolvere definitivamente una falla nel proprio sistema di sicurezza riguardo i dati personali degli iscritti. Fatto sta che la notizia non è riuscita a diffondersi al punto tale da permettere ai male intenzionati di effettuare upload “malefici” per poter poi approfittare dei dati sensibili di ignari utenti. La falla identificata era insita nelle query delle impostazioni della privacy degli utenti che non venivano realmente attuate dal sito. Cosa c’era di losco? Ebbene, seppur nei settaggi della privacy, l’utente avesse deciso di nascondere determinate informazioni personali come il luogo di residenza oppure il sesso, questi erano visibili nella scheda delle “Info” dell’utente, seppur questo non risultasse un nostro amico. Questa tipologia di informazioni, è da definirsi di primaria importanza, anche perchè di solito i dati di riconoscimento utente (sia username, che posta elettronica, o ancor peggio la password) sono per semplicità celati nelle informazioni personali come la data di nascita, il luogo di nascita o una credenza insita. Secondo le fonti che hanno controllato il bug costantemente per comprendere la sicurezza dei propri dati, la risoluzione da parte di Big F (un veterano ormai nel risolvere le falle nascoste) ha impiegato oltre 15 giorni nella realizzazione di una modifica ad hoc nei rami del database per permettere la corretta impostazione dei valori definiti “nascosti” nelle schede riguardanti la privacy.

Il comparto privacy è sempre stato un problema che ha attanagliato le file di Facebook sia dalla sua nascita, e d’altronde, un network con una utenza così vasta, non può di certo permettersi distrazioni.
Il team di Facebook ha però dalla sua, il vantaggio della scarsa diffusione della notizia, che ha evitato a molteplici “truffatori” di approfittare dei dati personali di alcuni ignari utenti. Questo dimostra che la diffusione dell’informazione non è sempre un vantaggio per tutti.

  19. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found
    a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and
    screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
    She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is
    totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
