Scorrendo il News Feed di Facebook capita spesso di incappare in post di amici contenenti caratteri strani. Nella maggior parte dei casi si tratta di quelli che prendono il nome di caratteri speciali ovvero caratteri che solitamente non sono presenti sulla tastiera del computer e che per poterli inserire è necessario effettuare una particolare ma semplice operazione.

Per poter inserire caratteri speciali su Facebook è infatti necessario servirsi della Mappa dei caratteri su Windows e della sezione Caratteri speciali su Mac. Scopriamo quindi come fare sia su OS Windows sia su Mac per inserire i caratteri speciali su Facebook.

Per inserire caratteri speciali su Facebook da Windows è necessario digitare charmap.exe nella barra di ricerca veloce (o in Esegui) del sistema operativo e premere il tasto Invio della tastiera del PC per avviare l’utility Mappa dei caratteri con tutti i caratteri speciali disponibili in Windows. Nella finestra che si apre si dovrà selezionare, facendo doppio click su di esso, il carattere speciale che si desidera usare nei propri testi e questo verrà copiato automaticamente nella clipboard.

Una volta fatto ciò basterà accedere a Facebook dal browser web ed incollare mediante la combinazione di tasti Ctrl + V il carattere speciale precedentemente copiato nel post da condividere con agli amici.

Per inserire caratteri speciali su Facebook da Mac è necessario richiamare la voce Caratteri speciali dal menu Composizione che si trova nella parte alta dello schermo. Una volta fatto ciò comparirà un pratico riquadro con all’interno tutti i simboli, le faccine e i caratteri speciali supportati dal sistema suddivisi in categorie.

A questo punto si dovrà accedere al proprio account Facebook da browser web, si dovrà iniziare la creazione di un nuovo post e si dovrà cliccare sulla freccia che si trova in basso a destra nel riquadro della sezione Caratteri speciali del Mac. Sarà poi necessario selezionare una delle categorie di simboli disponibili in OS X e fare doppio click sul carattere da digitare.
