Un nuovo social network: ecco Circle me

Ne avevamo già sentito parlare mesi fa quando era stata lanciata la versione beta di questo nuovo social network. Oggi, invece, Circle Me è divenuta una realtà per il popolo del web. Collegandosi al sito www.circleme.com potrete visionare il nuovo social network, opera del genio creativo di Erik Lumer, un matematico-imprenditore laureatosi a Stanford che si occupa di fare business in Italia e del creativo Giuseppe D’Antonio. Il social network di sua creazione si basa sulla condivisione di interessi comuni, come i più noti Facebook o il neonato Pinterest. Ma c’è qualcosa in più questa volta.

 

Gli utenti possono decidere di costruire il proprio cerchio e “piantare” attraverso l’apposito sistema di geolocalizzazione gli oggetti digitali che più si amano: film, libri, canzoni, personaggi famosi in giro per la città. In questo modo l’utente costruisce tramite i Likes (le cose che ama) e i To Do (le cose che vuole fare) il proprio orizzonte culturale, ma anche commerciale, così come ha spiegato lo stesso Erik Lumer. L’applicazione Circle Me sembra essere davvero interessante: è curioso poter inserire, per esempio, le recensioni e i commenti del film appena visto usciti dal cinema, oppure inserire i titoli dei libri amati nel momento in cui ci si trova in libreria. L’obiettivo del nuovo social network sembra essere semplice:

 

“Quello che vogliamo fare è promuovere la cultura aiutare gli utenti a scoprire nuove persone con le quali potenzialmente sviluppare una relazione perché apprezzano gli stessi libri, film, luoghi e pagine web”

I maligni penseranno che Circle me ricalchi le funzioni di altri importanti social come Pinterest, Foursquare o Facebook. In realtà, il compito del social di Erik Lumer sembra essere prima di tutto culturale.
