Biz Stone lascia Twitter

Dopo Greg Pass e Evan Williams, ora tocca a Biz Stone mollare le redini di Twitter. E trattandosi del suo fondatore, la notizia ci lascia tutti un po’ perplessi. Ma sul suo blog, Stone spiega che Twitter è stato qualcosa in cui lui e i suoi amici e co-fondatori Williams e Jack Dorsey (che al momento è a capo di Twitter), hanno concentrato tutti gli sforzi, tanto che il microblog ha assorbito ogni energia.

Ora che Twitter è diventato una realtà concreta, un network davvero competitivo, Biz Stone è finalmente libero di poter lavorare su altri progetti. Tuttavia, egli assicura che non abbandonerà completamente Twitter, finché la società avrà ancora bisogno di lui.

My work on Twitter has spanned more than half a decade and I will continue to work with the company for many years to come. During this time—especially lately, it has come to my attention that the Twitter crew and its leadership team have grown incredibly productive. I’ve decided that the most effective use of my time is to get out of the way until I’m called upon to be of some specific use.

Biz Stone ha già dichiarato che in futuro tornerà a collaborare con Evan Williams, per sviluppare nuovi sistemi che aiuteranno le persone a lavorare insieme con la massima produttività.
