Sempre più vicini i grandi gruppi bancari al mondo del web e semplicemente del social networking. La notizia recente di cui tutti i financial newspaper stanno parlando è quella delle grandi banche di Goldman Sachs e di JP Morgan che si stanno interessando sempre più ai social network dal punto di vista degli investimenti. Il tutto è partito con l’interessa nei confronti dei social media più in generale, giunto poi alle movimentazioni milionarie verso i social network e soprattutto pronti alle acquisizioni nel momento in cui una belva del web come Facebook sta per essere quotato in borsa grazie proprio alla Goldman Sachs ed alla società Russa Digital Sky (con ben 500 milioni di dollari).

Ovviamente l’interesse di questi grandissimi gruppi finanziari nei confronti del social network, salire il valore del social network Facebook fino a 50 miliardi di dollari. Ma dopo gli investimenti fatti su Facebook, sembra essere arrivato anche il turno del microblog Twitter.

Come vi abbiamo già detto qualche giorno fa, la JP Morgan in collaborazione con la Digital Growth Fund di Chris Sacca, ha deciso di investire sul sito dell’uccellino ben 400 milioni di dollari, facendo salire il valore di mercato fino a 4.5 miliardi di dollari. Chris Sacca è quindi il benefattore di Twitter, che dopo essersi laureato in legge alla Georgetown University, ha lasciato Google nel 2007 e con la sua società di investimenti, si “diverte” dall’esterno a manovrare sempre e comunque il mercato della tecnologia.

Lui si dichiara un semplice consulente agli occhi del pubblico del suo blog. I conti parlano chiaro, soprattutto dopo i 300 milioni di utenti che quotidianamente affollano il sito e che pian piano ambiscono a raggiungere i 600 milioni di iscritti di Facebook. Le monetizzazioni recenti, dimostrano, infatti, anche come il sito di Twitter sia prossimo ad un proficuo affiancamento al mondo pubblicitario, così da portare ancora più soldi nelle casse degli attuali proprietari e di chi sarà interessato ad investire sul social network.
