Arriva MyFarm: ovvero FarmVille con animali veri

MyFarm non è uno scherzo ma sul fatto che si tratti di una trovata piuttosto stramba vi sono ben pochi dubbi perchè si sa, una cosa è doversi destreggiare in un social game virtuale in cui gestire una fattoria ed un’altra, invece, è eseguire le medesime operazioni agendo su di uno scenario reale.

MyFarm, infatti, è l’ultima trovata della The National Trust, un ente di carità del Regno Unito, che, prendendo spunto da FarmVille, il noto game targato Zynga e giocabile su Facebook, va a configurarsi come un gioco social reale basato su di una fattoria in cui sono gli stessi utenti coinvolti a gestire coltura e bestiame, il tutto pagando una cifra pari a 30 sterline che verrà poi devoluta in beneficenza.

La fattoria utilizzata è quella di Winpole Estate, situata nel Cambridgeshire ed avente una superficie pari a 2.500 acri, e, secondo quanto dichiarato, a potersi iscrivere allo strambo ma interessante progetto potranno essere in tutto in 10.000.

I partecipanti vengono coinvolti, previa votazione, in tutte quelle che sono le varie ed eventuali attività da svolgere in una fattoria e che, ovviamente, chi ha avuto modo di giocare a FarmVille (o, ancora, chi ha potuto godersi i pro e i contro di una vita in fattoria) ben conoscerà.

Appare però palese che gli acquisti non possono essere eseguiti direttamente dagli iscritti ma, molto più semplicemente, sarà il Farm manager Richard Morris a gestire il tutto redigendo un un elenco di alternative tra cui poter scegliere una volta al mese.

Tutti i partecipanti a Myfarm vengono inoltre istruiti e guidati mediante la pubblicazione di video, foto e post sul blog del progetto ed in futuro sarà resa disponibile anche un’apposita applicazione per smartphone grazie alla quale prendere decisioni circa la gestione della fattoria in tempi ancor più ridotti e, sopratutto, in mobilità.

Va però sottolineato il fatto che per quanto possa apparire come un gioco, l’obiettivo finale di MyFarm, a differenza di FarmVille, altro non è che cercare di creare un maggior collegamento tra gli individui e ciò che mangiano infondendo quindi un’ulteriore presa di coscienza circa il cibo e la sua provenienza.
