Non era poi così in torto chi un anno fa, per satira, aveva chiamato Obama “il candidato Facebook”. Al di là delle sue scelte e dei suoi successi politici, infatti, è evidente che il Presidente degli Stati Uniti si è messo alla guida di una macchina politico-elettorale di nuova generazione: solo nel 2008 ha investito 3.8 milioni di dollari USA su Google.

Il Comitato Nazionale Democratico e Organizzazione per l’America ha da poco pubblicato sul sito internet ufficiale un annuncio di lavoro per “addetto ai social network”. Il futuro Social Network Manager si dovrà occupare di aggiornare quotidianamente e in tempo reale il profilo del Presidente su Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, e sugli altri social networks, con tutti gli aggiornamenti provenienti dall’entourage presidenziale.

L’obiettivo è quello di rafforzare e responsabilizzare le comunità in tutto il Paese per organizzarle attorno ai temi che stanno più a cuore. Non vi sorprendete quindi se oltre alla pagina dedicata a Obama su Facebook, che ora conta 7 milioni e mezzo di fan e che è collegata ad altre 12 pagine che hanno a che fare con il Presidente, esiste anche un profilo su MySpace, su Twitter e su Friendfeed.

La nuovissima figura professionale lavorerà a stretto contatto con il resto del dipartimento di New Media per l’esecuzione di campagne che servono a far progredire l’agenda del Presidente per il “grande cambiamento”. I requisiti sono: scrittura forte, tagliente e personale; ottime competenze di editing con forte attenzione ai dettagli; forte senso dell’organizzazione; grande familiarità con le reti sociali come Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, ecc; capacità di lavorare sotto pressione e di gestire più progetti complessi; disponibilità a trasferirsi a Washington, DC.

Il fine ultimo è coinvolgere milioni di americani nel portare avanti l’agenda del Presidente Obama e cambiare il paese. L’idea di fondo è che la gente si fida molto più degli amici che dei giornalisti, degli esperti o di altre autorità distanti che non conosce. Obama è il collante di un nuovo social network politico che consente a milioni di persone di connettersi e scambiarsi informazioni con lo stesso spirito. Qualche fortunato che passa ore davanti a computer e ai social networks, avrà adesso la possibilità di entrare alla Casa Bianca.

Ciò che ci lascia un po’ curiosi è un piccolo dettaglio sull’annuncio ufficiale: “il Social Network Manager sarà responsabile del mantenimento degli account del Partito Democratico su tutte le reti sociali (come ad esempio Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, ecc)”. Ecco, è quell’espressione “ecc” che ci spaventa. Dove altrò approderà Barack?

Intanto, se qualcuno ci vuole provare, gli basterà riempire il form nella pagina dell’annuncio.

    The song was originally released in 1950 and
    its title translates into English as ‘Hymn to Love.’

    The My Heart Will Go On songstress looked to be on the
    verge of tears as she finished the performance to cheers from the
    crowd, whilst viewers at home were also left emotional.
