Il co-fondatore di YouTube lavora a un sito rivale?

Quasi sei anni e mezzo dopo la vendita di YouTube a Google si torna a parlare di Chad Hurley, una delle menti che hanno creato questo popolare sito web di condivisione e visualizzazione video, e che adesso sta pensando a una sua alternativa.

In un’intervista Chad Hurley, che all’epoca della cessione era amministratore delegato di YouTube, ha lasciato intendere di lavorare attualmente a un altro progetto molto simile a YouTube. Insomma una nuova piattaforma video che potrebbe fare concorrenza proprio a YouTube.

Ma a differenza di YouTube, il nuovo progetto di Chad Hurley sarebbe maggiormente improntato alla collaborazione online, più flessibile e con strumenti facili da usare per gestire e creare i proprio video.

Dobbiamo forse aspettarci un Anti-YouTube destinato a soppiantare il suo predecessore? Per il momento si direbbe di no.
