Nel corso delle ultime ore Facebook ha reso note le cifre facenti riferimento all’andamento dell’ultimo trimestre fiscale che, a quanto pare, si è rivelato particolarmente positivo per Mark Zuckerberg e soci.

Il social network in blu più celebre al mondo, infatti, ha dichiarato 1,18 miliardi di dollari di ricavi, una cifra questa che è andata ben oltre quelle che erano le aspettative degli analisti.

Il mercato, però, a quanto pare, non ha accolto in maniera esattamente positiva quella che, invece, va a configurarsi come una buona nuova per Facebook.

Il titolo del social network, infatti, è stato caratterizzato dal segno meno per diverse ore arrivando, addirittura, ad un -11,9%.

Infatti se nella prima trimestrale di Facebook dall’ingresso nel lisitino del Nasdaq sono stati registrati diversi ed importanti passi in avanti per quanto concerne l’introito lordo al tempo stesso laben nota risorsa di social networking si è però ritrovata a dover fare i conti con perdite nette per ben 157 milioni di dollari.

La ragione di tali perdite, a detta degli analisti, è da ricercare nelle spese per i vari impegni conseguenti all’IPO ai quali tener fede .

Tra le altre cause che hanno contribuito a spingere il titolo di Facebook al ribasso vi è poi da considerare il crollo al quale, proprio nel corso delle ultime ore, è stata soggetta Zynga che, così come noto, costituisce buona parte dei ricavi di Facebook.

In occasione della nuova trimestrale sono poi state rese note le più recenti stime facenti riferimento al numero di utenti attivi ogni mese sul social network: in tutto il mondo il numero attuale di utilizzatori di Facebook ha raggiunto quota 955 milioni dei quali 246 soltanto in Europa.

Pur trattandosi di una cifra tutt’altro che indifferente appare però opportuno sottolineare il fatto che la velocità di crescita del social network risulta adesso in leggero calo.

    ‘Top “trending” queries for 2024 are the searches that had a high spike in traffic over a sustained period in 2024 as
    compared to 2023, showing us what was “hot” in 2024,’ it explained.

    From the Paris Olympic Games to England reaching the finals of the Euros, it’s
